Is cricket a game of team players or it's of charismatic one's.

Charismatic players are back again. Might be few people would say cricket is a game of team approach, but the fact is we all know a single man can do wonders. As in case of last night game where Afridi did the magic. He not only ripped the Canadian batting order but also proved this wright that one man show is possible.

                                 Long back' Max Weber '  said that a single charismatic man will change or make changes to the world, it might not so true in terms of society , but got the nod in the cricket field.

                                                     So hope that it would be proved true for India too.

Social networking sites helping world.

In the era of modern technical world where no one has the time to have conversation face -to - face or to get involved  in social gathering has got new dimension in terms of social networking sites. These sites helping people interacting in fun way as we do in social gathering. Now people can take their heart out on these sites and can understand what is happening all around  them.

                                                           Recently  in Libya and Egypt  people interacted with each other on these sites and expressed their feelings(words) . These sites helped people to let the tyrant(totalitarian authority) come to their knees.  So that, in order to create a new world for the Muslim countries  who where under tremendous  pressure to these tyrants. Somewhere deep down the corner these people has been helped by social networking sites.

                                            These sites are not only helping people to interact as they do in person but also helping them to make their world more in ease.

Irish curse on England in the world cup.

What a amazing game played by Irish team last night. It was nothing but a curse on english team which is commanly known as irish curse. O'brian was fantastic who played a awesome inning helped Ireland to clinch the game. The team of Ireland proved this wrong that new teams are here only to add numbers. England team
who played well against India not only drastically fall to Ireland but put the english team supporters down.

                                                                              Now world cup is on the verge of drama where no one can predict which way the wind blows. Every team has to put forward his best efforts in order to win the game. This uncertainity would make the game of cricket more watchable.

                                                                                           Playing against British team and wining it comprehencively has boost this proverb that cricket is the game of uncertainity, and it has been proven wright last night. Now even indian team has to be aware of the irish team. Against England indian team sliped there chances of wining the game. Bowling of Indian team is not up to the level, and it makes them vulnarable.

                                                             Each passing day in the world cup making cricket a must watch.Taking bull by the horns would be more preferable rather than merely going on the field and just playing. Hope so that cricket world cup would bring more these kind of memorable moments for the lovers of cricket.

Negative & positive impact of Globalization

1.       Impact of Globalization
a)      Beneficial effects ( assumption):
                                I.            By enabling a greater international division of labor &a more efficient allocation of savings, Globalization raises productivity & average living standards.
                              II.            The atmosphere of competition will increase efficiency in every sector of economy. Inefficient enterprises will improve themselves, privatize or wither away.
                            III.            Broader access to foreign products allows consumer to enjoy wider range of goods& services at lower cost.
                            IV.            Foreign investment & foreign capital will help in optimum utilization of natural resources& employment opportunities will increase.
                              V.            Level of technology will improve because of foreign technology. Through this modern industrialization will strengthen.
b)      Negative consequences:
                                I.            Globalization may have negative impact on employment &real wages, especially of low skilled workers. It may also adversely affect the living standard of some sections of the society. Eg. Rural India.
                              II.            Adaptation of capital intensive technology under Globalization will increase unemployment in the country.  New technology increases output but not employment. ( production of only these goods that are in demand. Not necessarily the basic amenities. Hence pattern of production will be distorted).
                            III.            It is mainly beneficial  to large capitalists &large enterprises are thrown out of competition .consequently there is concentration of economic powers and increase in disparities. (embourgeosement  & polarization simultaneously increased as lower into middle ie. No. of poor has decreased but gap between rich &poor has increased ie. Poverty intensity has increased).  New dimension is Wal-Mart’s retailing
                            IV.            SAP affects govt. priorities. The concept of subsidized goods &  services& welfare is increasingly marginalized.
                              V.            State of food security might worsen with increase in unemployment and poverty. It is a tragedy that even after the disastrous experience of colonialism post- independent state did not  pay serious  attention to the rural areas & agrarian structure. Food crop in the  agricultural sector is neglected. Also because in the decline of  pp of the common man access to food grains is becoming difficult.
                            VI.            As things are taking place, Globalization is posing problem challenge to the sovereignty of number of globalizing countries.
                          VII.            It also affects the socio-cultural fabric of the society. In this the media controlled by global capital plays a important role by spreading the cult of consumerism(creating ‘false needs’ in the words of  ‘HERBERT MARCUSE’ ).

What is Globalization?

                                                       Globalization

Is a term that has recently come into usage& it covers all facets of life- political, economical, social, cultural and individual. Globalization is the process in which the limits & constraints imposed by geography & national political systems on social, economical & cultural patterns weaken& withers away. Or to put it in the words of Lester Brown- “it is a world without borders “.
                        This has been facilitated by new information technology, upgraded, rapid & cheap transport and movement. Increasing contacts first made this world a ‘Global Village’ in the worlds of M. Mac Luhan.
In the year  2006 this has further shrunk into ‘Global Family’. In technical terms Globalization means  the integration of economies through trade , financial flows, technological spillovers& information networks.
Theoretically it refers to economic interdependence of countries worldwide. It should be clear that like other social formations the base of Globalization is also economic. This is characterized by the following:
1)      Reduction of trade barriers so as to permit  free flow of goods across national borders;
2)      Free flow of capital among nation, states example no restrictions on foreign  investment;
3)      Free flow of technology;
4)      Free movement of labor among different countries of the world.
A critical analysis of these components in terms of their socielet implications brings into light a number of  problems which are no longer national but global also. Now even the local needs to be understood within the framework of global.
